Seymour Duncan Pickups - It's all about the tone!
The ST59-1
is an interesting pickup, blending classic P.A.F. tones with a touch of
traditional Tele twang for a tone that's all its own. As a direct
replacement for the bridge pickup in a Tele, the ST59-1 lets Tele
players thicken up their tone and go hum-free without modifying their
guitar. The ST59-1 comes in black only to aesthetically match
traditional Tele pickups. The ST59-1 doesn't abandon its Tele roots
tone-wise, and works well with traditional Tele neck pickups. Take your
Tele tone further with the ST59-1.
Seymour Duncan ST59-1 at a Glance:SoundThe
ST59-1 is a P.A.F.-voiced single-coil-sized humbucker that's great for
country, jazz, blues, funk, classic rock, and heavy rock. This lead
pickup is a hybrid, designed for the Telecaster player who wants to
rock. This little beast delivers a warm, smooth tone, reminiscent of an
old '59 Patent Applied For humbucker mixed together with a healthy dose
of beefed up twang. It comes in black only with four-conductor cable.
Complete setup
The
ST59-1 is available in lead (bridge) position only, and matches up well
with a Vintage Rhythm Stack for a totally quiet rig or with a Hot
Rhythm for an all-around hot axe. The ST59-1 is perfect for all
well-balanced instruments (particularly Teles!), and works equally well
with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
